TllK AMERICUS 1)A1L<' I'lMES-ftBOOKPKR: THURSDAY. AUGUST 13, 1891. CDP.YR'OHT IO®0 Can’t be found —tlio equal of Dr. I’iercc’s Golden Medical Discovery. If other medi cines of its class were like it, they’d bo guaranteed. This is. If doesn’t benefit or cure, in every case for which it’s recommended, you get your money back. It isn’t a “ cure-all,” but it does cure all diseases arising from a torpid or deranged liver, or from impure blood. For all Scrofulous, Skin and Scalp Diseases, it’s a positive rem edy. Even Consumption, or Lung- scrofula, is cured by it, if taken in time and given a fair trial. That’s nil that’s asked for it—a fair trial. Then, if it doesn’t help you, there’s no pay. Wc claim it to be an unequalcd remedy to purify the blood and in' vigorate tho liver. We claim it to bo lasting in its effects, creating an appetite, purifying the hlood, and preventing Ililious, Typhoid and Malarial fevers, if taken in time. Tho time to take it is when you first feel the signs of weariness and wealcncss. Ily druggists. This is the way with the Ball corset: if you want ease and shapeliness, you buy it—but you don’t keep it unless you like it. After two or three weeks’ wear, you can return it and have your money. Comfort isn’t all of It though. Soft Eyelets, and "bones” that can’t break or kink—Ball’s corsets have both of these. Forsaleby GEO. D. WHEATLEY. An I n.Ink,.bln Htnnl limit. Air. W. Wells, of Leith, is about produce a jutent steel limit which is claimed to lie absolutely unsiiik.ilde and instantaneously self righting It is lmilt in airtight and watertight sections, aiie is suitable for *ixirting purposes, l« in; |ierfectly safe and fast under sail or oar. It may lx) a valuable addition to the life saving equipment of yachts and vessels of at! classes. The steel boats are light and may Is. subjected to any amount ot rough usage, and the inventor maintains that the piercing of one or inoro sections would only ill a slight degree affect their buoyancy. Some of the boats have, we are in formed. been subjected to a series of trials on tho Firth of Forth in nil weathers, and havo liccn proved to pos sess nil tho good qualities which have iieen claim,si for them, ft was found that if one of the watertight sections was pierced the result would lie that the water would seal the air in the section, which would continue to nfforil support. If both sections were pierced the Isuit would only draw a little more water, and the supporting capacity not tx> ex tinguished, hut only diminished, and that if all three sections were pierced the lxiat would still float, while it would only lose its buoyancy if the sections were simultaneously pierced Imth nliovo and below tho water line, which would Is* an almost inconceivable event The steel Isints can lie produced at a cost which will compare favorably with the price of wtsslen boats of gissl class, and they will stand usage which would quickly destroy a wooden fabric, but at the same time they are remarkably light, a boat of 13 feet long and 8 feet beam, completo with mast, sails, oars, etc., ap- proidmatingonly 1100 weight.—Land and Water.
