The novelties in china glassware,
and lamps are almost bewildering
this season. The sample rooms of
our best glass and lamp factories
as well os those of tbe Importing
China agencies presented a con
stellation of dazzling effects in the
most brilliant beauties that their
respective lines have ever shown.
You know the old adage “Goods
well bought are half sold." When
we buy staples—we look for the
best qualities obtainable—when we
buy specialties, we look not alone
for quality, bat for the effects that
the finest fancies and the latest
fads demand. In' addition to this
we always look for the lowest price
that factories will give, and the
best of it is, we don’t stop looking
until we get there on all three
points—quality, style and price.

about September 10th,
Due notice will be
given of our GRAND
OPENING.
Respectfully,
After gossiping on trade, novel

store does not look very nice now;
hut it’s going to look nice inside

Its not much gossip to teU you
that when this new stock began to
come in, it did not find our shelves
empty. Here, there and every
where you could find a few odd
sets of glasses and an odd lot of
dishes—a stray lamp or two—the
last “trade orphans’* left of a once
bright lamp family, and we teU you
frankly, we don’t like odd lots, we
would just as leave mix a few drops
of the best black ink in a tub of
artesian water, as to mix these odd
lots, desirable as they are, with the
new lines we are marking up. Its
a question of conveuience with us
os much as price—you ought to
see these goods.
Say, did you know that Butler
& Berry were going to keep a full
line of stoves this fall, it’s a foot
indeed. Of course, they don't ex
pect to sell enough to keep the
earth worm, or to cook for the
whole universe, but they are going
to keep them and you know that
when Butler & Berry take hold of
a thing they generally get t heir
share of the trade—they are sorter
built that way. *
