Dr. Watts of Vienna was in Americus yesterday and was welcomed by his friends. Mr. Os H. Harris, a prominent planter of Schley county, spent yesterday in Americus. Mr. T. P. Barnes, a well known plant er of Schley county, was in Americus yesterday. Mr. E. S. Goodman of Americus spent Sunday In the city.—Albany News and Advertiser. Mr. Percy Walton of Macon is visiting relatives in Americus—the family of Mr. M. Callaway. Mrs. Williams of Paris, Tex,, Is visit ing the family of her brother-in-law, Judge Allen Fort. Mr. Thornton Wheatley, who has been in Atlanta for the past few days, has re turned to Americus, Mr. Moreland, who bas been visiting friends in Americus for several days past, left for Bronwood yesterday. Mr. A. T. Curry, Cordele’s Irrepressi ble insurance man, camo up to Americus last night to seo "Sport McAllister.” Detective Ike Glmbel of Montgomery, Ala., loaves for home to-day, having completed his business in this section. Messrs. W. E. McTyier, J. E. Stewart and Bartow Hawkins of Plains came j over yesterday to go to the theater last night. Judge C. L. Battle, a prominent citi zen of Ellaville, accompanied by his son, was in Americus yesterday circu lating among his friends. Mr. F. L Cawley of Cordelc, whom everybody calls "Doc,” Is In Americus iu the interests of Lamar & Son of Ma- Mr. Cawley is one of the most popular business men in Cordele, and is well and favorably known throughout this section. . Capt. Brannon and wife left for Ku- faula, Ala., yesterday, whither Mrs, Brannon goes to attend the bedside of her father, Mr. Copeland, who is quite ill.
