Mrs. M. E. Allen of Macon, who has been visiting her old Americus friends, left yesterday for Dawson, much to their rdgret. Mr. H. R. Jones, one of Dawson's live real estate and. Insurance men, was cir culating among bis Americus friends yesterday. Mr. D. C. X. Burkbalter, the popular president of Sumter county alliance, Is at home again after a ten days' absence from the city. Dr. Short, who is now recuperating at Magnolia Springs, was in Americus yes terday. His friends are hoping for his early return to the city. Miss Susie Taylor left Sunday for Americus, where she wilt resume her duties as teacher In the public school.— Marion County Patriot. i Hon. C. F.
