His Position as Cashier or the First Nation
al Bank, Albany*
The Albany News of yesterday says:
“On yesterday morning Ur. Frank
Sheffield tendered hts resignation to
the board of directors of the First
National Bank as cashier of that insti
tution.
For several months Ur. Sheffield baa
been In bad health, he has sought recu
peration in vain, and his retirement
from the position that he haa filled so
creditably was enforced by physical de
mands.
'His resignation was reluctantly ac
cepted, and in doing so very compli
mentary resolutions were unanimously
adopted by the board.
“Ur. Sheffield, waa seen by a represent
ative of the News and Advertiser and
asked what be thought of doing since
he haa given up his position with the
bank.
‘He replied: ‘My first object will be
to seek recreation In the hope of rebulld-
lag my health. This is tbs prime object
with me st present, bat after that la
accomplished I will settle somewhere
and continue In the banking business.’
“Mr. Sheffield has lived in Albany a
number of years, and has made friends
by the score. Each and every one of
them wish for him a speedy recuperation
and abundant success In any business In
which he may engage.”
After a vacation, The Times-Recor-
DEit has it from good authority that Ur.
Sheffield will locate la this oity and be
come cashier of a new bank, the charter
of which is now about passed.
Frank Sheffield is a well known and
very popular Americus boy, and every
body here will be pleased to know that
he la to join the circle of Americus bus!

of an ordinary melodramatic plot are
dispelled by some clever acting, good

Probably the best work of the evening
was done by Ur. Booker and Ur. Bailey
—the one a comedian of no mean merit
and the other giving evidence of marked
histrionic talent.
Ur. Bailey’s work in the scene where
the old mill owner Is stricken with par
alysis was especially fine, and the cli

Ur. Bookes's fun Is but of the usual
