Brady, will be producod at the Academy of Musio on Monday night Coming as It does direot from its New York and Boston presentations, the piece is to be mounted here In exactly the same manner that characterized Its successes in those cities. From all accounts, the scenic and me chanical effects arrf really superb. It Is, in fact, on realistic scenery that the success of the play mainly depends. The piece de resistance is the scene that shows the bottom of the sea, with divers at work in the wreck of a sunken ship. The bottle between one of the divers and a gigantic devilfish Is Very realistic. The other scenes are the rescue' In mid ocean and the deok of the French man- of-war. The events center about the laying of a West India cable by a young French engineer, assisted by a young Amerioan engineer. Both love the former’s cousin and this leads to trouble. A rascally Greek tries to kill the French engineer at the bottom of the sea, and the Ameri can engineer is arrested for the murder. The supposed dead man, however, turns up alive and saves the accused man. The Greek Is killed in attempting to escape and all ends happily.
