A Scotch minister ws* startled by the
ori.^inal view,, of a not very skillful
plowman whom ho had just hired He
noticed that the furrows were far from
straight, and said:

S«*h Witter for Weak Eyes.
Weak eyes should be strengthened by
bathing them five or ten minutes at
time in full basins of sea water, which
allows the bands to luye the closed eyes,
the water welling over them gently with
out shock. No one has any idea of the
relief to overtasked eyes till they hav
tried this method. You might ask me
for a good many things I would sooner
give you than the gallon glass bottle of
sea water brought with pains inland for
bpcugu'g the eyes.—Shirley Dare.
A Terrible lleveuge.

At the inquest upon the body of Mrs.
Catharine A. Cody, of Fifty-first and
Arch streets, who was killed by light

was developed that immediately before
the terrible report which accompanied
the deadly stroke Mrs. Cody, who was
in mortal fear of lightning, had been on

What Shakespeare Might Have Said.
To take or not to take; that is the question.
Whether 'tis better fora man to sutfrr
The pang* and torment* ol Indication,
Or something take, and, in its taking, end
them.
Shakespeare didn’t say that, but very
likely he would have said something
similar, if ho were living in this lOtn
century, when bo many suffer untold
agonies from indigestion. Of course he
would have gone on to say that a man
must 1m) a fool not to take the “some
thing” which would put an end to the
“pangs and torments” spoken of, If be
could got it. Now it is a fact that weak
ened, impoverished blood brings on in
digestion, which is the cause of dyspep
sia, constipation—a poisoned condition
of the whole system—and it is a fact,
also, that Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical
Discovery will so purify the blood and
enrich it that all the weakened organs
are revitalized and strengthened. It Is
guaranteed to do this. If it doesn”
your money will be returned to you.

Recent experiments as read before the

no doubt that the true way to CLEAR
THE SYSTEM OF MICROBE is
ugh the pores of the skin. It has been

Icrobl can be forced ont through the
skin, and it Is in this way that Q Q Q
