Fla., and Port Lavaca, Tex. Development and improvement com panies have been chartered at Aransas Pass, Tex., with $1,500,000 capital, and at Covington, Ga.; electric light plants at Brenhum, Tex., and Rome, Ga., a gun factory at Rock Hill, S. C., and foundries and machine shops at Fay etteville, N. C., and Memphis, Tenn. Chicago Counterfeiter*. Chicago, Oct. 19.—Frank Gillespie, a baker, and Edward Alley, a city rail way car conductor, were arraigned be fore Commissioner Hoyne on a charge of making and passing counterfeit nickels, dimes and quarters. Gillespie, at whose house moulds and metal were found, is supposed to huve manufac tured the counterfeit coin, und Alley to have passed it on the street car passen gers. They were held to the grand jury. C. H. Arnosld and B. Lendon were arrested and held on a charge of counterfeiting, $700 of bogus money, mostly in $5 bills iieing found in their possession.
