Miss Alice Wheatley of Amerlcus and Miss Emma Frederick of Marsballville are guests of Mrs. Geo. T. Harris.—Ma con Evening News. Mr. Rogers, of the firm of Rogers A Wilder, returned last night from a visit to the Inter-State Exposition at Raleigh, N. C., his old home. Hr. J. W. Jolly, the efficient and geni al manager of Mr. Tom Guice’s Forsyth street place, is In Atlanta taking in the Piedmont Exposition. Mr. Charles Robert Crisp arrived yes terday from Washington to attend bia brother Mr. Walter Crisp during the latter's extreme illness. Mr. Clem Wilder, of the firm of Rog ers & Wilder, is quite 111 at bis boarding place, the Watts House. Hfs many friends wish him speedy recovery. Ensign George F. Cooper of the Unit ed States navy and Mrs. S. Cooper of Amerlcus, Ga., are visiting at the resi dence of A. J. Orr.—Macon Telegraph. Sheriff Dan Davis of Webster was in the otty yesterday on business. Sheriff Davis Is a rustling officer. The Inst term of Webster court cleared his jail but since then he has tilled it again. Solicitor-General Hudson was taken sick with fever at the beginning of the term of Stewart Superior Court, and Col. L. J. Blalock ably filled his plaee. Right here we wish to say that Col. Bla lock Is one of the best lawyers In this judicial circuit.—Riebland Gazette. Dr. A. B. Hinkle went down the S., A. A: M. railroad Thursday morning in res ponse to an urgent call from a member of the lumber firm of O'Neill Bros., who do business at a station just beyond Cordele. Mr. O'Neill Is dangorously ill, and Dr. Hinkle as yet does not think It advisable to leave him. Hon. W. A. Wilson, vice-president of the Statn Alliance, returned Thursday night from a lengthy trip. He spent four weeks traveling through middle Georgia and speaks cheeringly of the condition of the county Alliances be visited.
