republicans have collapsed. Their can-
dates say it was “electrocution" day,
not eleotlon'day. ' When returns began
to Indicate the universal rejection of the
republlean nominees many of them left
their homes. The repnblloan candidate
for mayor to Brooklyn, actually left for
the moon tains last night.
Flower’s majority In the state la over
40,000. The entire ticket will be elected
with blm. The legislature le demo
cratic, tbe elty demooratlo, and all over
tbe etate gains have been made by the
democrats. Poughkeepsie's 400 majori
ty laat year le* reduced to 75 majority

Tbe republican leaders say it is the re
sult of Warner Miller’s friends cutting.
The indications, however, are that Cleve
land’s activity In tbe canvass earned
heavy losses to republlean* outride of
the cities.
New York city sends all state senators
democratic. Brooklyn elects Boody,
democratic mayor by 11,000 majority.
Full ticket la also elected. Massachu
setts la certainly demooratlo by 3,000;
and Russell la elected governor. Iowa
gives Boles (democrat) 3,000 majority for
governor. The legislature 1* democratic
McKinley carries Ohio for tbe republi
cans by 15,000. Pennsylvania goes re
publican by 20,000.

Is certain for Cleveland in 1802. Many
votes were brought out in order to show
appreciation of Cleveland's work In the
