Mr. Henry MeClesky had the misfor tune to slip and fall on a pile of scaffold ing, striking his eye and forehead and gashing himself severely. Dr. Hawkins dressed the wound and at last accounts he was resting easier. Hrs, Colonel Maxwell of Americus is in the city the guest of Mrs. de Jarnett on Ponce de Leon Circle. Mrs. Maxwell oomes from the noted Crawford family and is greatly admired and sought after for her wit and originality.—Atlanta Journal. This stream— which is qnite large and connects the up- per and lower Klamath lakes—is alive with thousands and probably millions of large fish, which are constantly passing to and fro between the two lakes, and areas constantly jumping ont of water insight of the town. They are of all torts and sires. Some of tlirtu appear to be cntting up those antics for the fun of the thing, and jgnieto-slpike ,'some kind of an eeilike looking creature which attacks them in the water and become* attached to their tides, causing (be fish Apparently much suffering.
