the Confederacy has been secured by the

BnERVOOD OPERA COMPANY.
One of tbe Finest Attractions of tne Season
Next Week.
The entertainment which will
given by the S lerwood Opera Company
Wednesday evening at the opera house
promises to be a most, o iarmiog, refin
ed and elevating attraction.
Sherwood is‘ a pianist of equal
nown as Paderewski, and Americas can
enjoy for $1 00 what cost Atlanta $3 00
to attend. Manager Brown has brought
this excellent company to oar city and
the people should show their spprecia
tion by patronizing the same. Americus
cannot afford to send such a company
away without according it some appre
ciation. It will never do to close
opera house, and this will certainly have
to be done in self defense by tbe owners
unless our public spirited people woke
up, and realize that a city without
play houso is no city at all.
