It is too early to do anything more
than speculate concerning the manner
in which the German vote will be cast
in November. Oswald^OttenJorfer.who
should be as well informed as any one,
says that German-Americans feel that
they have been misled and betrayed by
President McKinley. They dread the
uncertainty that would follow a victory
for silver. But in the imperialism of
the Republicans they see a tangible
evil which they will reject. Mr.
Ottendorfer thinks that, as a body, the
German-Americans will cast their votes
for*Bryan. Many other representative
citizens of this stock express the same
opinion. Many others, perhaps equally
competent to judge, express contrary
views, and the outcome is evidently
quite uncertain. But on one point all
the witnesses agree. The Germans as a
class detest the name and the idea of
imperialism, and if they decide to vote
for MoKinley it will bo ip spite of his
policy and not because of it.—New
York Evening Post.

Wine of Cardui not only cures but it acts AT ONCE Here Is a case
of ten years’standing, and yet one single dflfie made the sufferer fed better,
and stopped the pain. The Wins goes straight to the seat of the trouble.
It acts directly upon the menstrual and genital organs. Its action is not
violent, and it does not force a result It simply gives Nature that little
assistance that the sufferer’s system lacks. A single disorder in the *
feminine organs spreads many disorders all over tbe body, and when the
Wine cures the source, an the other ills vanish as a matter of course. A
woman can be bo* own physician and cure berself at home. Local ex
aminations are largely things of tbe
past—the obnoxious custom Is no
longer necessary. Wine of Cardui

Mr. H. L- Myers, 100 Mulberry SL. Newark, N. J., says: * I was afflicted with a terrible blood disease, which was in spots at first, but afterwards
spread all over iny body. These soon broke oat into sores, and it is easy to imagine the suffering I endured. Before l became-convinced that the
doctors could do roe no good thad spent a hundred dollars, which was really thrown away. I then
tried various patent medicines, bnt ihey did not reach the dwease. When Lhad finished my first
bottle of S. 3.8.1 was greatly improved, and was delighted with the result. ‘Hie large, red splotches
on roy chest began to grgw peter and smeller, add before long disappeared entirely. I regained my
lost weight, became stronger, and my appetite improved. I was soon entirely well, and my skin as
clear as a piece of glass.”
