Park oaught fire yesterday morning
at 11:30 o’clock and for a time it seem
ed that the old home, one ts the land-
marks of Americus,would be destroyed.>

yesterday of the death of Mrs, F. E.
Johnston, which occurred the night
before at her home in Maoou. Mr. and
Mrs. Johnston were residents of Amer
icus for several years, residing on

three years ago. Mrs. Johnston was s
native of Spalding oonnty and highly
esteemed there as in Amerious, where
she has many friends who will learn
with regret of her death.
