gate* Dandruff Germi,
There are many men who wear their
hats practically all the time when awake,
and are blessed with a hea%-y shock of
hair; yet if the scalps of these same men
once became infested With dandruff
germs, the parasites would multiply all
the quicker for lack of air. Baldness
would ensue as the final result. New

stimulates unhealthy hair to abundant

COMES TO A FINISH
THE TERM AT END,
All Cases Ready For Trial
Are Heard.
BUT NINE DAYS FOR THE TERM
Business of Superior Court is About
Ended —No Adjournment Yet, Al
though Juries are Dismissed and No
Other Cases for Trial.
The May term cf Sumter superior
court practically cama to a cloee yes
terday evening after a session of less
than nine days, the shortest in many
years, during which time both the c vil
and criminal dockets were entirely
cleared up.
It is a remarkable record indeed in a
county as large as Sumter.
The grand jary was in session alto
gether less than live days, while the
entire business of the court is conclud
ed iu nine days ins ead of nine weeks,
as in years past.
Judge Littlej thu has not formally
adjourned the session, bolding over
for a day or two in order to dispose of
motions and other business, but all the
jurors were discharged yesterday and
the announcement made that no other
C9ses would be tried now.
At yesterday’s closing session but
few cases were tried.
Paul Culver, charged with murder in
the shooting of a negro, Walden Jack
son by name, as alleged, was easily
acquitted, ths jury rendering a verdict
of not guilty in a short time.
George Bryce, a negro, got a year
strißght for burglary, Joe McGrady,
assault to murder, got oft with a year’s
sentence or fine of 8100, while Munch
Holloway and Charles Prather, ne
grce°, got a year each or 8150 fine
npon a charge of forgery.
Gas Tamer, upon plea of guilty for
a misdemeanor, was given a fine of
8-10 or ? i months,

FORTUNE FROM TIMBER LAND
Americus Investors Have Reaped
Large Profits.
It is stated here that a sum approxi
mating IGO.OOO cash has been received
quite recently by Americas parti*
who, many years ago, invested largely
in pine timber lands in the sonthern
section of the state. At that time the
ciuntry was a wilderness, and mag
mfl 3eLt timbered lands could b 9 bought
at something like a dollar or two an
acre. Large tracts were bought up by
parties here as an investment. The
building of railroads through that sec
tion in recent years has enhanced the
value of these lands tenfold, and it is
said that sales recently effected have
netted the Americus owners $60,000, or
probably even more
Superiority Proves Itself.
