ascertained that the Government rev
enues in Gebrgia will be reduced
more than $600,000 as the result of
State prohibition. As a result the
Georgia revenue district may be abol
ished.

the temperance workers, in view of

about 200 delegates. A strong and
interesting programme is being pre
pared.

It is hoped that 1,600,000 farmers
who are pledged not to sell cotton
under 15 cents will sit steady after
yesterday’s severe jolt.
The price of cotton is off just one
cent a pound or $5 per bale from quo
tations a week ago. But even 12%
cents is not a bad price.
Yesterday’s session of police court
almost went by default for lack of
drunks and scrappers. Verily, Am
ericus is a model town.

And if cotton stays even at 12% cents
