latest form of adulterated food to
which State food Commissioner R.

Consumptive Germs May Hide .On
The Car Duster.
HARRISBURG, PA., Sept. 24.
(Special)—State Health Commis
sineoer Dixon has issued an order
that porters of Pullman and other
coaches running through this State
must hereafter be more careful in
brushing the clothing of passengers,
in order to prevent the spread of
communicable diseases by the dust.
The order says that the porter must
not whisk his brush over the clothing
of passengers in the coach aisles, but,
only at the end of the coach beyond
the seats.
The order also states that the sheets
in the berths of sleeping cars must
be sufficiently long to overlap the
end of the blanket at least two feet,
so as to prevent the unwashed blank
et from coming in contact with the
face of the occupant of the berth.
Persons coming out of houses in
which there are communicable dis
eases and those suffering from tuber
culosis, who may have clothing filled
with disease germs, become a me
nance to the health of the traveling
public when the dust from their
clothing is brushed off into the faces
of tile other passengers.
