NUMBER 257
EXCELLENT PLAY
COMES MONDAY
/ Americus play-goers will witness
ihe presentation of the beautiful
comedy ‘Under Southern Skies,” on ,
Monday night next. “Under Sou- /
them Skies” is now in its seventh/
successful season and has as yet on
ly been seen in a comparatively small
portion of the country outside of the
larger cities. The increased enthu
siasm with which the play is re
ceived on its return visits, indicate
that the play will be one of the
standard for many years to come.
GREAT AUDIENCES
ENJOY PICTURES
Another week opened auspiciously
yesterday for the moving picture
exhibition at the theatre and large
audiences attended at each perfor
mance. Manager Lucas continues to
delight Americus people with the su
perb pictures, as evidenced by the
rapidly Increasing attendance. Last
week was the “banner week” of the
season, seven hundred people at
tending Saturday evening alone, but
the attendance this week already bids
fair to eclipse that of any other.
