TAKING THE WISE LOSS
It is a proof of sound business judgment to know when,
where and how to sacrifice profits so that the store and its
buying public may be both benefited. We believe that now
is the time to clean up all winter lines of merchandise. The
profit making season on these lines is over, but the wearing
season, the using season has months to run yet. \ou 11 find it
greatly to your advantage to change your money for merch
andise in this store at all times, but especially now.

DANGER IN BUILDINGS
DISCUSSED AT LENGTH
Ohio Horror Puts People
Thinking.
ATLANTA, March 9.—(Special)
The recent terrible disaster in Cleve
land, O- costing the lives of more
than 160 school children, has started
an agitation here for safer and better
school buildings.
Attention has been called to the
fact that Atlanta now has several
three-story school buildings, con
taining from twelve to sixteen rooms,
some schools having two or three
grades. In some instances the larger
school buildings are built entirely of
wood, and would be quickly consum
ed should a fire make auy headway.
Alderman Frank A. Pittman, a
contractor and builder, believes that
with the price of building lots as
low as it now is Atlanta can afford
more schools, and should make them
smaller. His idea is a one-story build
ing with not more than eight rooms,
one for each grade, and numerous
exits easy of access.
It is also urged that Atlanta should
put up none but approximately fire
proof school buildings, but that has
for some time been the policy of the
city government.

BIG ARMY OF INVADERS
IN CHASE OF VOTERS
“Company A" Has Invaded
Andersonville.
Company A. of the Candidatal Army
left Americus at 2 o'clock yesterday
afternoon, and by executing a well
planned flank movement descended in
full force upon Andersonville. The
troops occupied a military train over
the Central, and had rushed upon the
town ere the inhabitants were aware
of the onslaught. Candidates for ev
ery office in the county category made
up the “twenty-three” and skidooed
after the fleeing voter. The other
nine candidates left behind were much
disconcerted when told of the march
the others had stolen upon them.
When the twenty-three candidates
marched to the Central depot to take
the train they made a great show;
and the railway authorities expressed
regret at not having a boudoir car
to place at their disposal. Other peo
ple thought the vanguard of the Sal
vation Army was on the march, while
a drummer addressed one of the dig
nified candidates as General Coxey.
The twenty-three put in a busy after
noon at Andersonville, and returned
here last night assured of their elec
tion.
