Atlanta to Florida Highway—the only
way. The Ahdersonville Route will
catch the crowds.
It was hoped that the weather man

would give us bright skies yesterday

on the map of Georgia.
The blizzard yesterday added still
more injury to crops here. This un
usual weather is doing great d»mage
to young cotton.
.Americus is the greatest automo
bile town of its size in the South, and
autoists here are glad that our city
is on the National Highway.
Americus, as she does always, hon
ored herself in the tribute paid the
Confederate heroes yesterday—a cus
tom that will live perpetually.
The Jossey-Haisten marriage this
evening will be an occasion of great
est social interest among the many
fiiends of the young couple.
Nearly all the business houses here
—only a few declining—closed their
doors during the hours of Memorial
exercises yesterday.
There will be no change for the
present in affairs of Warlick Bros. Co.
here as the result of the death of Mr.
S. E. Warlick recently.
The June wedding announcements
remain a constant reminder to us that
summer cometh despite the prevail
