BOY OF SEVEN IN AIR FLIGHT
Frank Coffyn’s Wife Also Treated to
Sweep Over Manhattan
New York, March 16. —In five
flights over the bay and lower Man
hattan this afternoon Frank Coffyn
thrilled thousands in Battery Park. In
his first flight he whizzed down Broad
way from Trinity Church to the
ium.
He took up his seven-year-old
j son, Kingsley, for a trip over the bay.
The lad never was in a flight before
and "holds the record for being the
youngest aeroplane voyager." Coffyn
also took his wife for a trip to Liberty-
Statue and' back. Another passenger
who enjoyed the sensation of a swift
swoop over the bay was Deputy Dock
Commissioner Creson.
Indiana Man Fasts 26 Days
Wabash, Ind, March 16.—A1l records
for fasting in Wabash county were
broken today when Caleb Story, aged
84, passed his twenty-sixth day with
out food. On February 14, Mr. Story,
who had been in his usual health, sud
denly! lost his appetite, and when din
ner was served he stated that he had
no desire to partake of the meal. Since
that day he has declined every offer of
food and has lived solely on water.

UNION CENTRAL LIFE
MAKES PROMPT SETTLEMENT
Americus, Ga., Nov. 12, 1912.
Mr. Lee M. Hansford. Agent, Union
Central Life Insurance Co., Amer
icus, Ga.
Dear Sir I : wish to express to you
my thanks for the personal attention
you gave my claim for the insurance
carried by my late husband, W. D.
Heys, in your company. 1 also wish
to thank our company for the prompt
ness and fairness of their settlement.
In making application for this policy,
my husband erroneously gave his age
as one year greater than it was. In
making claim for the insurance this
error was discovered, and your compa
ny adjusted the matter by increasing
the amount of the insurance to the
amount the premium paid would pro
vide at the correct age, namely $1,016.
They also credit the policy with pro
rated post mortem dividend covering
a period from the last anniversary to
the death of the insured namely $4.51.
This makes a payment of $20.54 more
than I expected to get.
I thank you for the check in settle
ment of the above claim, which comes
to me just one week after the claim
was sent to the company.
1 most cheerfully commend you and
the Union Central Life Insurance Co
to all those who wish unquestioned
protection for their loved ones.
Very truly,
(Signed) Mrs. MARA' KATK HEYS.

300 CROWS !HUMi
Flying Away From Brewery Fall
in a Stupor on River lee.
Tarrytown, N. Y„ March 16.—Mem
bers of the Ardsley Club have seen
many things in the air, but the sight of
300 drunken crows trying to tly away
this afternoon from a brewery dock
j near by was the most unusual.
The brewery company's automobile;
had returned with hundreds of empt>
beer kegs, finishing the week’s busi
ness, when the crows swooped dowi
and began to imbibe. The antics wen
most amusing. Many crows fell on tin
ice in the river do sice)) off the jag. At
the Ardsley dock a flock of about 60*
wild ducks were flying, waiting fo>
the crows.
People who saw the ducks and crow;
come up the river say that as soon a;
the crows saw the beer barrels they
deserted the ducks. The ducks flew
around the Ardsley dock for an hour,
and when they saw the helplessness of
the crows they continued on up the
river.

regard to maize fodder and potatoes or.
account of the drought last year.
