The Bell Piano school has arrange !
to give this winter a most unusual
course on opera, to be illustrated with
phonograph records. The educational
department of a prominent phonograp.n
company have recently published a
book entitled “What We Hear in Mu
sic.” In this book is given a thirty
lesson course on opera.
The first lesson comprises (1) What
Opera Is; (2) Opera at the Time of
Handel; (3) Oratorio After Handel,
(4) Reforms of Gluck; (5) Opera of
Handel; (3) Oratorio to Handel,
(7) Beethoven; (8) German Romantf:
Opera, etc., Opera in America.
The records to be used for the first
lesson are as follows: Una voce poco
