The relatives and friend of Rev. Ed
| ward W. Pupree are invited to witness
his ordination to the gospel ministry,
next Sunday, 31st, at Shiloh Baptist
church, Sumter county. The services
' will begin at ten o’clock. The pastor
Dr. W. W. Arnold, will have Rev. A. C.
Wellons and Rev. C. D. Carter and the
deasons of the church as a presbytery,
and the following order will be ob
served.
The examination of the candidate as
to his Christian experience, call !o
the ministry and soundness in the
faith. This will be followed by the or
dination sermon, to be preached by
Rev. A. C. Wellons, of Plains. Then
the prayer and laying on of hands by
the presbytery, with charge to the
young minister by Rev. C. D. Carter,
of Ellaville.
The service will close by the pres
bytery and church giving the hand of
fellowship to the candidate, he pro
nouncing the benediction.
