EUROPEAN ARMY WILL
INVADE MEXICO UNLESS
UNCLE SIM TAKES HAND
(By Associated Press.)
ATLANTA, Ga., June 30.—Senator
Hoke, addressing the Georgia legisla
ture today created a sensation, by
stating that the plain duty of the
United States at this time is to enforce
order and respect for neutral rights
in Mexico by military means ,and that
delay may prove dangerous alike to
this country and the maintenance of
the Monroe doctrine as established and
respected by the nations of the earth.
Unless order in Mexico is restored by
the close of the world war now rag
ing, Senator Smith predicted a Euro
pean army would be dispatched to that
country, over the protest of the Unit
ed States.
