TO FIX THE ANNUAL AND SPE
CIAL TAXES AND LICENSES OF
THE CITY OF AMERICUS ON’
BUSINESS OCCUPATION AND
PROFESSIONS FOR THE YEAR
OF 1916.
Be it resolved by the Mayor and City
Council of Americus, and it is hereby
resolved by the authority of the same,
that the Clerk and Treasurer is hereby
directed and instructed not to issue
any license, under any consideration
whatever, that is pro-rated, but to al
ways collect the full amount of all
licenses as fixed in the book of license'
Ordinances.
SECTION 1. Be it ordained by the
Mayor and City Council of Americus, I
and it is hereby ordained by the
authority of the same, That for the
purpose of raising revenues to meet ■
the ordinary and extraordinary ex
penses of the City of Americus, that
the licenses and special taxes on
business occupations and professions
hereinafter named shall be fixed,
levied, prescribed and collected for
the current year of 1916, which said
license and special taxes shall be due
and collectible in advance.
Sec. 2. Be it further ordained by
the Authority aforesaid, That any
person, firm or corporation doing any
bt s'ness that is subject to a license or
sj c ial tax. shall before .engaging in
sane, make application to the Clerk
a 1 <. Treasurer of the City of Americus
i writ for a license, and shall pay
to he said Clerk and Treasurer the

in advance and shall also register their
