vival services which have been in pro
gress at the Methodist church here,
r closed last Thursday morning, and
Rev. Tinley who had the meeting in
charge returned to his home ni Perry.
E This series of meetings was thorough
ly enjoyed by all who attended anr re
sulted in much spiritual good to the
membership of both churches. Our
I citizens have a warm place in their
hearts for Rev. Tinley, and he will al
ways receive a hearty welcome in our
town.
Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Williamson Wed
nesday last entertained at dinner in
I honor of Rev. Tinsley, of Perry. Jon
quils and daffodils formed the princi
pal decorations. Covers were laid for
twelve and a course dinner was serv
ed. Those present were, Rev. and

The U. D. C.’s were on Monday af
ternoon entertained by Mrs. C. R.
MtCrory at her pretty Broad street
home. The president, Mrs. Rogers
Williams, presided in a most affable

program fruit salad and pound cake
was served. Mr. and Mrs. McCrory
were assisted in entertaining by Mrs.
W. A. Murray. The members present

Mr. Rogers Williams, who was re

Mrs. Z. T. Sniper, of Hopewell has
returned to her home after a pelasant

gone to Florida, where for six weeks
they will enjoy th? balmy clime of
that renowned state.
Mr. and Mrs. James Williams, of
Americus, visited relatives in our
city Saturday.
Miss Jessie Jameson spent the week
end in Americus, the guest of friends.
Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Herring and
Mr. E. L. Bridges autoed to Columbus
Tuesday.
Mrs. Hawkins, Misses Mary Hawkins
and Anna Murray, of Americus, were
visitors to our city Sunday afternoon.
Miss Anna Riviere returned Satur
day to her home in Thomaston, after a
delightful visit to Miss Mary Strange.
Miss Pearl Lott spent the week-end
with her parents in Americus.
Mr. R. C. Trammell, of Hamilton,
visited his family in our city Saturday.
Mr. T. A. Collins left Monday for a
trip to Florida, where he goes in the
interest of his furniture houses.

spent Sunday afternoon and evening
here with friends.
H. L. Harris, of Port Royal, S. C„ is
here on a ten days’ furlough, with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Harris.

Moore-Tillman meeting in Montezuma
Friday evening.

J. W. Lowe left Sunday afternoon to
spend several days with his parents at

DE SOTO, Ga.. Feb. 10.—Mr. and
Mrs. John Ferguson were hosts at a
delightful course dinner at their
country home last Sunday in honor of
Mr. Lee Greene, of New Orleans. The
pretty table had for its center piece a
bowl of ferns and jonquils. The guests
were, Misses Edna Harris, of Oakfield,
and Beatrice Pursley, of Montgomery;
Messrs. Lee Greene, of New Orleans,
and Emmett Ferguson.
Mrs. C. C. Womack was hostess at a
spend-the-day party last Monday. Her
guests were, Mrs. George Bagley, Jr.,
Mrs. Ham West and Mrs. Hugh Fergu
son.
Dr. and Mrs. George Bagley attend
ed the wedding of the latter's cousin,
Miss Musa Usury, at her home near
Leslie yetserday.
