Remarkable Prophesy of
Anti-Christ Attracting
Attention at this Time
The following “prophecy An
| tichrist,” a remarkable document writ
ten in 1600 by Brother Johannes:
The vertiable Antichrist will be mon
arch of his time, a son of Luther, he
will invoke name, and proclaim
himself his enemy, this prince of His
will take his oath on the Bible, and will
exploit himself as the arm of the Most
High, sent to chastise the corrupted
people of the world. He will be one
armed, but his army, which will be as
the sands of the seashore, will take
for their device, “God with us.’’ For
a long while he will carry out his pol ■
icy, by ruse or by felony; his spies
will cover the countries of the world,
he will be master of the decree of the
powerful.
He will have in his pay doctors and
professors, who will .prove and certi
fy his celestial mission. War will give
him an opportunity to disclose himself.
This will be so violent that in two
weeks the armed conflict will be
come universal. It will draw in all
Christian people, Mussulmans, and ev
en men from distant lands. I
The armies will gather from the
four quarters of the world, for the an
gels will open the souls of men, and
in the third week they will realize that
Antichrist has come and that slavery
will be the fate of the conquered. He
will be recognized by several traits.
He will massacre, above all, priests,
monks, women, children and old men.
To none will he show mercy. Torch
in hand, he will pass like a savage,
invoking the name of Christ, while his
words are those of a Christian, his acts
will be the acts of Nero and his Ro
man persecutors.
He will have an/eagle for his arms,
and an angel will be the crest of his
accomplice, the other wicked monarch.
This latter, however, is a Christian,
and will die with the curse of Pope
Benedictus, who will be elected at the
outbreak of Anticrist.
No more will priest and Monk con
fess and absolve the combatants; for
the first time in the world’s history
they will take their place in the com
bat with other citizens,, and Pope Ben
edictous having pronounced his mal
ediction upon Antichrist, his holiness
will proclaim that those who fall in
battle will rise as martyrs.
The hell will resound throughout the
world, giving courage to the soldiers,
and sounding the knell of Antichrist’s
accomplice. To vanquish antichrist
will require more men than Rome ever
held. The efforts of every kingdom,
“the cock,” “the leopard,” and the
“white eagle” will not avail, without
the prayers of the Christian world as
sist them. Never will the human race
have met so great a peril, for the tri
umph of Antichrist would be the vic
tory of the devil.
It will come to pass in the twentieth
century, after the incarnation of the
Word, that the beast will menace the
earth with its scourge. Toward the
two-thousandth year the great army of
Antichrist, numbering in its ranks
some who are Christians, will oppose
the armies of the Lamb, with whom
will fight. Mohammedans and “sav
age” soldiers. All will be blood red,
the heavens, the earth, the sea, the air, J
’ for blood will flow in all the elements, j
I The “Mack eagle” will hurl itself:
I against the “cock” and rob it of many
1 plumes, but the “cock” will, fight gal
llantly with its talons, . It would be)
totally crushed but for the claws of!
the “leopard.” The “black eagle” will!
surprise, and invade the land of the.
“cock.” covering almost half of its ter
ritory; while the “white eagle” in its!
turn will overrun the realm of Anti-j
Christ from boundary to boundary.
Then the “black eagle,” to engage the
“white eagle.” the “cock will pursue
it to give aid to its ally. When the
“black ea;le” sees all is lost it will
grow’ furious and the “white eagle s
beak, the “leopard’s claw, and the
“cock’s” talons will be buried in its
flesh.
Rivers will run blood and only the
princes and the great captains will be
buried. The dead, piled high, will
seem like hills and divert the streams
from their course. In the carnage
the brave will fall, and those who sur
vive the battle will succumb to pesti
lence and famine. Several times will
Antichrist seek to make peace, but the
seven angels that march before the
Lamb have decreed that only with his
extermination can peace be restored.
“He shall be crushed like a straw un
der the flail.” He shall lose his crown,
and his kingdom shall be split into
twenty-two states, and none shall post
sess either arms, or ship, M— Strong
hold. {
The “white eagle” shall trace the
crescent out of Europe and Install
himself in his abode. Then shall begin
the era of peace and prosperity. The
Lamb shall reign and the joy of hu-
manity begin. Happy he who, escap
ing the perils of this wonderful period,
may taste the fruit of the reign of the
Spirit and the sanctification of hu
manity of humanity, which cannot be
accomplished save by the destruction
of Antichrist.
(The symbolic “leopard” may cause
some difficulty in identification but the
“leopard” is well known in British
heraldry. The Gallic “cock,” on the
other hand, is quite familiar, and the
“eagles” are easily recognizable.)—Ed.
IRON CROSSE3 ME
H BUT WITH
GREAT ÜBEHALIH
COPENHAGEN, Aug. Ist.—That 2,-
200,000 iron crosses of the second class
and 49,000 of the first class have been
awarded during the war is shown by
announcements shown and published
in Berlin which have been received
here. Os this number 3,660 were con-J
ferred upon individuals “behind the
front,” but it is certain that the num
ber of persons wearing the decoration
who have never been under fire is
even larger. The classification “be
hind the front” probably applies only
noncombatants engaged in war ser
vice, and not to individuals, like von
Jagow and other civilians w’ho from
time to time have been stationed at
the main headquarters.
A horde of wearers of the iron cross
have been simply employed at the head
quarters and by the staff; never smell
ing powder unless perhaps it was dur
ing the repulse of a long distance air
plane raid. As an example of the
lavishness with which the crosses are
handed out a correspondent of The
Associated Press was present at a
luncheon party of eight at the head
quarters in 1915, where the seven Ger
mans present all had been decorated
and not a single one of them had ever
been under fire.
During the Franco-Prussian war*
about one in every twenty participants
was given an iron cross, and except in
the case of high military commanders
and sons of royatly, it was awarded
only for exceptional bravery in the
field.
The value of the iron cross now has
become so debased, because of the vast
quantities granted and the number of
swivel-chair heroes who have through
their influence received them, that
the establishment of a new order for
valor is being talked of.

Kidney Pills have stood the test. Mrs.

you ask for more convincing testimony.
Mrs. Alice L. Cobb, 630 Forsyth St.,

back. Sometimes I had dull head
aches, felt languid and had but little
energy. I was advised to try Doan’s
Kidney Pills and since using them,
have been feeling much better. They
relieved me of the pain in my back and
my kidneys became normal.” (State

Lasting Results.
On May 4, 1916, Mrs. Cobb said: “No

A NERVOUS WRECK
From Thres Years’ Suffering. Says
Cardui Made Her Well.
Texas City, Tex. —in an interesting
statement, Mrs. G. H. Schill, of this town,
says: “For three years I suffered untold
agony with my head. I was unable to
do any of my work.
I just wanted to sleep all the time, for
that was the only ease I could get, when
I was asleep. I became a nervous wreck
just from the awful suffering with my ■
head.
I was so nervous that the least noise
would make me jump out of my bed. 1
had no energy, and was unable to do
anything. My son, a young boy, had to
do all my household duties.
I was not able to do anything until I
took Cardui. 1 took three bottles in all,
and it surely cured me of those awful
headaches. That has been three years
ago, and I know the cure is permanent,
for I have never had any headache since
taking Cardui. ..
Nothing relieved me until I took Cardui.
It did wonders for me.”
Try Cardui for your troubles—made
from medicinal ingredients recommended
in medical books as being of benefit in
female troubles, and 40 years of use has
proven that the books are right. Begin
