LABOR AGITATORS ANNISTON, Ala., Oct. 13.—Evidence that members of the I. W. W. are at work in Anniston and adjacent towns are seen by officials in the efforts that are being made to get skilled labor ers to leave Camp McClelland. One attempt to take a train load of car penters from the camp to Lake Charles, La., was frustrated by the prompt action of officers of the quar termaster’s department earlier in the week. Officers found further evidence I against the agitators, and ran them out of the camp. Both civil and military officers are working on the matter, and it is un derstood that federal secret service men have also taken a hand in it. The officers recall that an attempt was made to stampede the men short ly after work started at the camp This attempt was checked by Major Charles L. Dulin, constructing quar termaster, who headed off about 500 men at the union station by appeal- ■ ing to their patriotism. The agitators seem to be plentiful-' ly supplied with money.
