INTEREST IN COMING
OF GLEE CLUB GIRLS
The of the Sunday school of
the First Methodist church are feeling
very much encouraged by the interest
which is being shown in the coming
visit of the Wesleyan Mandolin and
Glee Clubs which will have charge of
the musical programme of the Geor
gia Go-To-Sunday-Schooi exercises at
their church on next Sunday morning,
February lOh, at pine-thirty.
The Sunday school of the First
Methodist has put itself to some ex
pense and a great deal of trouble in
getting these young ladies for this
occasion and feel that the public,
which is cordially has in store
for it a musical treat the like of which
has not been heard in Americus for
many years.
The Wesleyan Mandolin and Glee
Chib is composed of 30 young ladies
and will render a programme of about
an hour’s length on this occasion con
sisting of both instrumental and vocal
music. The programme will be under
the suervision of Mr. R. W. Billin,
Director of Music at tire Wesleyan
Conservatory, and Miss Halstead will
be in charge of the piano. Dr. C. R.
Jenkins, president of Wesleyan, will
accompany the young ladies on their
visit to Americus and will fill the
pulpit at the 11:00 o’clock service.
The Sunday school of the First
Methodist church ha» led the entire
state for the past tw years in the an
nual Go-To-Sunday-School-Day and
feels sure that with the programme
which has been arranged this year that
the attendance on this ocacsion will be
larger than ever before.
The public is cordially invited.

Why Reduced Prices On
Clothes When Woolens
Are on the Rise ?
Here’s the story in a “nut shell”
You’ve probably heard that woolen prices are
advancing, so you naturally ask, “If that’s so, how
can Hart Schaffner & Marx all-wool clothes be sold
for less than regular prices?”
Each year at the end of the regular selling sea
sons we find a number of garments still on hand;
they were bought to sell during that season, so we
make it a point of selling them in order to make
room for new goods. And we reduce prices to
clear these suits in a hurry.
Because woolens are advancing so rapidly,
these Hart Schaffner & Marx suits are worth more
now than they were a few months ago; they’ll be
worth more next year. But we can’t hold them
over; we haven’t the room.
That’s the whole story and here are the prices.
S4O Suits $30.00 $35 Suits $26.25
S3O Suits $22.50 S2O Suits $15.00
