RECEPTION FOR MRS.
W HEELER.
In honor of Mrs. M. H. Wheeler, a
recent bride, Mrs. and Miss Borum
were hostesses at perhaps the largest
reception of the year at their home
on Church street this afternoon.
The entire lower ffoor of the spa

guests, and Southern smilax and
palms, with wild flowers, and all the
lovely spring blossoms effectively ar
ranged in baskets and ffoor vases,
combined to make the home a bower
of fragrance and blom, a beautiful
setting for the groups of well-dress
ed women who called between the
hours of three-thirty and six o’clock.
In the receiving line were Miss Emmae
Borum, Mrs. Wheeler, and Miss Mat
tie Beulah McMath, a bride-eleot.
Mrs. Wheeler wore a lovely gown
of pink charmeuse with silver lace and
her flowers were carnations. Miss
McMath was gowned in gold-colored
tule and lace witha touch of turquoise
blue, and her corsage bouquet was
orchids and valley lilies.
Miss Borum’s dress was daintily
fashioned of lavender charmeuse and
silver lace, with which she wore vio
lets.
Assisting in the entertainment of
the guests were Mrs. Stephen Pace,
