KEEN INTEREST IN
MAYORALTY RACE
I
ATLANTA, Ga., June 11.—With four
candidates including the celebrated
, ‘ Uncle Jim” Woodard, Atlanta is in
for the liveliest mayor’s race on rec
ord with Interest whetted to a keen
edge by the fact that the primary is
just thirty days off, thus making it
■the shortest campaign record on ac
! count of the unusually early primary
| date
The situation has been complicat
ed by the eleventh hour entry of Ed
ward H. Inman, a rich and prominent
young business man who was put
in the race as the candidate of the
business element of the city, and who
will have the strong support of the
merchants, manufacturers and busi
ness interests generally. He is a son
of the late Mr. Hugh Inman, one of the
pioneers and wealthy men of At
lanta, and a member of the celebrated
Inman family which has always been
prominent here. He has served a
term as a member of council during
which time he was chairman of the
finance committee.
“Uncle Jim” Woodard is running
his usual type of race as the plain
citizen’s candidate, denouncing coun
cil members for petty politicians and
promising an administration of econ
omy in municipal affairs.
James L. Key. a lawyer and member
of the board of education, is run
ning on a platform of opposition to the
local street car company’s petition for
increased light, power, street car and
gas rates. He is an old hand at the
political game and is noted for his
sharp tongue. He is an ancient en
emy of “Uncle Jim” Woodard, both
personally and politically and it is gen
erally expected that when they get
through with each other there won’t
be much left.
The fourth candidate is Dr. L. N.
Huff, an optometrist and optician, who
is running as the young men’s pro-

TELLS HOW TO TAKE SORENESS
FROM A CORN AND LIFT IT
RIGHT OCT.
Hospital records show that e'-erv
time you cut a corn you invite lock
jaw or blood poison, wn'-ch is needless,
says a. Cincinnati authority, who tells
you that a quarter ounce of a drug
called freezone can be obtained at lit
tle cost from the drug store but is
sufficient to rid one’s feet of every
hard or soft corn or callus.
You simply apply a few drops of
this on a tender, aching corn and the
soreness is instantly relieved. Short
ly the entire corn can be lifted out,
root and all, without pain.
This drug is sticky but dries at once
and is claimed to just shrivel up any
corn without inflaming or even irri
tating the surrounding tissue or skin.
