CAPT. PRICE, OF
SOUTHER FIELD,
IS TRANSFERRED
i -
SOUTHER FIELD, March 26.—Cau
tain Milton A. Price, of the dental
corps, has been ordered to transfer to
Carlstrom Field, Arcadia, Fla.
Lieut. Herbert G. Blakeslee, engi
neering officer and Lieut. Edward A.
Burgtorf, officer in charge of transpor
tation, have been placed on flying sta
tus and will receive instructions in fly
ing. The enlisted men in addition to
receiving flying instructions will be
taught the repairing and overhauling
of motors.
Monday evening the Georgia Glee
and Mondolin club gave the soldiers
of Souther Field a half hour’s musical
treat at the Y. M. C. A. at the camp,
before meeting their engagement in
Americus. The club did great credit
to themselves, and their performance
was enthusiastically received by the
men.
Lieut. John R. Irwin has returned
from a leave of absence in New York.
Lieut. Irwin reports hotels crowded
with people. It is said he may accept
a lucrative position in civilian life la
ter in the season.
The Signal corps wants 109 meteor
ologists. This class of men would be
exceedingly valuable in the operation
of the Air Service.
MYSTERIOUS PAINS AND ACHES,
Make Life Hard to Bear For Many
Americus Women,
Too many women mistake their'
pains and aches for troubles peculiar j
to the sex. More often disordered kid-'

zy spells, headaches and irregular un
ination. Kidney weaknesses become
dangerous it neglected. Use a time
tried kidney remedy—Doan’s Kidney
Pills Hosts of people testify to their
merit. Read an Americus case
Mrs. W. P. Baldwin, 802 Forsyth
Sa., says: “About a year ago I suff-'
ered a great deal of backache. I had.
a dull, throbbing pain in the small of
my back all the time. When I would
stoop over, I would get such sharp,
shooting pains in the small of myl
hack I could hardly straighten up.
Doan’s Kidney Pills were recommend
ed to me and I began taking th. m. One
box completely and permanently cured
me I have never been troubled,
since.”
