SHE HAD LOST
IN WEIGHT
Well Known Columbus Lady Tells How
Quaker Herb Extract Benetitted Her.
bT’ 1 ’ j
Many people calling out of gratitude
to thank the Quaker Man for what
QUAKER HERB EXTRACT has done
for them. The following statement was
made Mrs. E. J. Thomson, who resides
at 515 Second avenue. Columbus, Ga.,
and is well known.
She stated:
"Several years ago I commenced to
have stomach trouble and it gradually
gre wworse. I became so bad that
I suffered pain all through my body.
My food fermented and formed gas
which caused bloating and was very
painflu. I lost in weight and was
steadily growing worse. I was nerv
ous and many nights I would get very
little sleep. Recently I suffered great
pain around my heart. I had used
so many different kinds of medicine j
without relief that I was discouraged,
and to even look at a spoon would
make me sick at the stomach. I have 1
used QUAKER HERB EXTRACT for !
just a short time now and no one can '
imagine the benefit I have had in that'
time. I can eat what I want and the I
pain through my body and around my I
heart has entirely disappeared, and 1
I am gaining in weight every day. I |
am recommending QUAKER HERB <
EXTRACT to all of my friends.

LONG WEAR
AND ECONOMY
“Last year I purchased a standard
make of shoes, and in sixty days the
soles were worn through. I had them
re-soled with Neolin Soles —which
lasted me six months in the same
service that wore out the other soles
in two,” writes E. A. Lancaster of
Lancaster & Company, jeweler;
Greeneville, Tenn.
Mr. Lancaster’s experience with
Neolin Soles is not unusual. Millions
of people can testify to their long wear
and economy. To reduce your sho
expense, buy Neolin-soled shoes. You
can get them in many styles for every
member of the family.
Neolin Soles are created by Science
to be comfortable and waterproof as
well as long wearing. Good repair
shops carry them. They are made
by The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co..
Akron, Ohio, who also make Wingfoot
Heels —guaranteed to outwear all
other heels.

I Atlanta Car Fare
Goes to Six-Cents
ATLANTA, April 4.—After many ef
forts of the Atlanta City Council, the
Georgia Railway & Power Company
has won its fight for a higher car fare
in Atlanta, the Georgia Railroad com
mission yesterday authorizing a 6-cent
fare on all the company’s lines, ex
cept those to College Park and De
catur.
The new fare will go into effect or.
April 14. This is the end of a long
controversy by which the city coun
cil sought to prevent the power com
pany's increasing the rare to meet
the greatly increased costs of opera
tion. Previously the commission de
sided that it cpuld only recommend a
6-cent fare, but when the question of
the railroad commission’s jurisdiction
in the matter was carried to the su
preme court, the supreme court de
clared that the commission has the
right to take action in such matters.
Mandamus proceedings were instituted
to bring the matter to a conclusion
and the commission, after a lengthy
executive session, ordered a 6-cent
fare.

Medicinal Virtues Retained and Im
proved—Unpleasant and Dangerous
Qualities Removed New Variety
Called Calotabs, is Great Favorite
With Physicians and Druggists.
The latest triumph of modern phar
macy is the new nausealess calomel
known to the drug trade as ‘‘Calotabs. ’
Calomel, the most generally useful of
all medicines, thus enters upon a
wider field of popularity—purified and
refined from those objectionable quali
ties which have heretofore limited its
use.
In biliousnss, constipation, head
ache and indigestion, and in a great va
riety of liver, stomach and kidney trou
bles calomel was the only successful
remedy, bus its use was often neglect
ed on account of its sickening quali
ties. Now it is the easiest and most
pleasant of all medicines to take. One
Calotab on the tongue at bedtime with
a swallow of water, that’s all. No salts,
no griping, no nausea, no danger of
salivation. A good night’s sleep and
the next morning you are feeling fine,
with a clean liver and a big appetite.
Eat what you please.
Calotabs are sold only in original,
sealed packages, price thirty-five cents.
Your druggist offers to refund the
price as a guarantee that you will be
thoroughly delighted with Calotabs.
