TORT CAR WINNER TO BE KNOWN
SOON; EAST PERIOD OF REGULAR
VOTES IN GREAT DRIVE BEGINS
a M A rf> U^°i F V ?I ES j THIRD AN D LAST PERIOD.
1 M° n J S ’ n a? y an j i UnC ! ay $1.75 2,500 Votes
6 Months Daily and Sunday 3.25 9,000 Votes
J Year, Daily and Sunday, 6.00—20,000 Votes
2 Years, Daily and Sunday 12.00—70,000 Votes
2 Year’s Weekly 1-50- 2,500 Votes
2 Years, Weekly 3>oo _ 9> ooo Votes
The above is the schedule of the
regular votes for the last period of
The Times-Recorder’s Great Subscrip
tion Drive. The regular votes during
the campaign were divided into three
periods, the last the smallest of the
■three. «
The beginning of the last period of
legulai votes, brings nearer the
close of the great drive, which takes
place on the night of April 26, 1919
From now on until the end of the
campaign interest will no doubt be at
, its very highest, due to the fact that
the slightest activity on the part of
every candidate will in all probability
change the final results.
The remaining few days of the
drive sees the regular votes quite
small, but to offset this, two other
special vote offers are made. They
■are the Second Payment and Nek of
fers. In these offers every candidate
vtho has turned in a New yearly sub
scription since the drive started will
receive 50,000 extra votes. Every
New Yearly subscription that has been
turned in or will be turned in will re
ceive these extra votes during the last
two days of the drive. The same is
true of Second Payment subscriptions.
That is, a payment on a subscription
on which one payment has already
been ipade during the campaign will
receive the same amount of extra
votes. In both cases parts of a year
may be combined to make a full year
of each. For instance, two 6 months,
or four 3 months subscriptions.
c In addition to the above, for the
coming week the club vote of 200,060
extra votes to the club of 320.00 are
offered, all clubs counting toward win
ning one of the big prize ballots of
this offer which ends April 19. There
are ten of these big extra Prize Bal
lots, the largest one million votes, and ;
they will be awarded to the ten candi
dates, regardless of districts, who turn
in the largest amounts for the two
April 19, regardless of
been turned in before.
During the last week of the drive
there will be no Club or Prize Ballot
votes offered.
The standings for both districts fol
low:
DISTRICT ONE—Embraces the cor
porate limits of the City of Americus.
