Weds Girl Named
in Ocean Bottle
ATLANTA, April 17.—The familiar
ficticious romance of the man who
finds a woman’s name in a bottle
tossing on the ocean wave and finds
her and marrie’s her has been actually
consumated by John Jacob Stoy, a
well-known young Atlantan recently
discharged from service in the army.
Four years ago Miss Bonnie Jean
Shore, daughter of a prominent lum
berman of Florida, wrote her name
on a piece of paper, put it in a bottle,
and threw the bottle into one of the
Florida west coast canals. Two. years
later Walter J. Stoy, father of the
young lady’s future husband, was fish-!
ing on the west coast and found the!
bottle and took out the slip of paper
and put it in his pocket.
On returning home lie showed it to
his son, who immediately sat down
and wrote the young lady a letter. 1
which he afterwards forgot because'
she did not answer <t Then came
an answer six months Jater, followed
by a regular correspondence and an
exchange of pictures and a visit by the ;
young man to see Miss Shore while!
she was spending Thanksgiving in;
Jacksonville with relatives.
And now they expect to live happi
ly ever afterwards.
