“A SPLENDID TONIC ”
Says Hixson Lady Who, On Doc
tor’s Advice, Took Cardui
And Is Now Well.
Hixson, Tenn. —“About 10 years ago
I was...” says Mrs. J. B. Gadd, of
this place. “I suffered with a pain in
my left side, could not sleep at night
with this pain, always in the left
side...
My doctor told me to use Cardui. I
took one bottle, which helped me and
after my baby came, I was stronger
and better, but the pain was still
there.
I at first let it go, but began to get
weak and in a run-down condition;
ao I decided to try some more Cardui,
which I did.
This last Cardui which I took made
me much better, in fact, cured me. It
has been a number of years, still I
have no return of this trouble.
I feel it was Cardui that cured me,
and 1 recommend it as a splendid fe
male tonic.”
Don’t allow yourself to become
weak and run-down from womanly
troubles. Take Cardui. It should sure
ly help you, as it has so many thou
sands of other women in the past 40
years. Headache, backache, sideache,
nervousness, sleeplessness, tired-out
feeling, are all signs of womanly trou
ble. Other women get relief by taking
Cardui. Why not you? All druggists.

CENTRAL CHURCH
ADDS WORKER IN
CAMPAIGN HERE
Americus Baptists, especially the
members of Central Baptist church,
of which Rev. George F. Brown is
pastor, are greatly interested in the
Enlistment campaign now in progress
throughout Georgia and have just com
pleted plans for furthering the
work in this community. Some time
ago it was resolved to secure the ser
vices of an experienced worker for
this task, and it is announced today
that Miss Louise Herndon has accept
ed the assignment.
Miss Herndon, who is an experienc
ed city missionary worker, is now in
Americus, where she has been dur
ing the past eight months, with her
sister, Mrs. John T. Bragg. Prev
iously, Miss Herndon was a city mis
sionary in Chattanooga, Tenn., dur
ing fifteen years, and she will enter
her work here splendidly equipped.
The membership of Central Baptist
church now approximates 500, and
under the leadership of Miss Hern
don, it is hoped to make the entire
membership active workers for the
advancement of Christianity. This

“It Often Burned Like Fire,” He
Says In Describing The Way He
Suffered From Stomach Trouble.—
Gas Bloated Him Up, Constipation
Was a Daily Annoyance.
“My stomach often felt like it was
on fire and the sour gas that bloated
me up was something I hate to think
about again,” are the words of Mr.
Wm. Watson, who resides at 1701
Wolf street, Brunswick, Ga. For sev
enteen years Mr. Watson has been in
the employ of the A. C. L. railroad
and is one of the best known men
around his home. He is prominent in
the fraternal lodges, a member of the
Methodist church and a Class Leader
and what the world calls an all around
reliable man in every way.
“I have been down sick for some
time now, but railroad work is very
pressing these days as the Govern
ment needs every man, so from the
way I have been improving since I
started taking Dreco, I think I will
be back on the job very soon. lam
no longer troubled with constipation
which has been one of my worst ails
for I find that when this trouble is at
its worst is the time I suffer more
from my stomach. My liver is also
acting fine, my nerves are steady and
I sleep better than in many months.
I also notice that my tongue is no
longer - coated and thick, the bad
taste gone from my mouth and my
breath has become sweet. Really
Dreco is wonderful medicine and I
do not hesitate to recommend it to
anyone.”
Dreco above mentioned is a pure
liquid extract of different roots,
herbs, barks and berries which act
on the stomach, liver, kidneys, bowels
and purifies the blood. It relieves
constipation, sick headaches, gas on
the stomach, dizzy spells, heartburn,
pains in the back, aching limbs, gives
you new energy, banishes catarrh and
rheumatism.
Dreco is sold by all good drug
stores and is highly recommended in
Americus by Americus Drug Co.
