NEGRO’S BODY IS

Tom Baldwin, a negro workman at |
J. W. Shiver’s planing mill, was in
stantly killed Wednesday afternoon
about 1 o’clock in an accident in
which his body was reported to have i
been cut in two at about the waist.
In the same accident Mack Cherry
a negro boy 12 years old, was badly
hurt, but it was stated this afternoon
that physicians attending him believ
j ed he would recover.
The accident occurred at the kiln
where lumber for mill work is dried
and seasoned. The kiln is kept closed
by a very heavy door, and it was

in Howell yards last night but did
not hesitate long in Atlanta. They
