yesterday by the committee of the
directors and is published herewith.
In making public the list it was ex
plained that, because it was gotten
up in haste because of the shortness
of the time, it was possible some few

The premium list is headed by five
district prizes, the first for $l5O and
the smallest $25. These prizes will go
to the fiv e of the nine militia districts
in Sumter eounty making the best
showing at the fair. It does not mean
one grouped exhibit, but taking into
consideration all the exhibitors collec
tively trom one district.
Next come the special premiums
■ six in number and ranging from SSO
1 down to $5, for the best individual
I exhibits of farm products other than
; live stock. These are open to the
! whole county regardless of districts.
; Following which come premiums for
all kinds of -agricultural products,
i fruits, live stock, cured meats, bees
| and tobacco.
Next come the boys and birls pig
club exhibits, with special prizes, con
ducted under the state pig club rules;
the girls canning club exhibits also
conducted under the state club rules,
the boys and girls poultry club ex
hibits, and home textile work exhib
its.

BOYS AND GIRLS PIG CLUB
Rules for Exhibitors
1. —Each exhibitor must be a bona
fide member of the Georgia Pig
Clubs, and the owner of his or her
exhibit.
2. —Each exhibitor will show his
or her hog at his or her own risk. The
hogs will be given special care and
attention and precautions taken to
return to the owner in good condi
tion. The exhibits will be fed and
cared for free of charge during the
3. —Hogs must be disinfected by
spraying or dipping with some good
disinfectant before sending to the
fair.
4. —Registration papers must be
shown at the time of entry 7 for each
exhibit intended for a registered
class.
i —All hogs should be crated ac
cording to directions sent out by the
State College of Agriculture.
6. —The age of hogs will be reck
oned from September Ist to March
Ist.
7. —All hogs must inoculated be
fore shipment with tested serum, in
accordance with the regulations prin

quart jar of canned tomatoes, one
quart jar canned string beans, and
the following products packing in
the same size jars, either 12-ounce
or one pint; one jar Creole sauce,
one jar soup mixture, one jar green
tomato pickles and two bottles to
mato ketchup. In tin: One can toma
toes, one can string beans. The tins
may be opened in judging and not
returned.

jars canned peaches, two jars peach
marmalade,, two jars blackberry jam,

peaches in glass to be packed in
quart jars, the rest of the exhibit
in glass to be packed in same size
jars either 12-ounee or one pint. The
can. may be opened in judging and
not returned. Girls who cannot. ob
tain peaches may substitute canned
pears and gingered pears for the
peach products.
