SHOWS COMING
TO SUMTER FAIR
#
It was anrounced today by Secre
■tary Perkins, of the Sumter county
fair, that the amusement enterprise
which will show at the fair on Oc
tober 16, 17 and 18 —the fair to run
three days—will be the H. W. Camp
bell Shows, an organization with 25
railroad cars of equipment. The ag
gregation will exhibit in connection
with the big fair on the grounds
adjoining the Third district agricul
• tural school. Free bands, street pa
rades and other attractions for the
public are promised, besides the
regular carnival exhibits.
This is the same concern which
visited Americus last fall and set
up on the ball park on Hampton
street, only to have the health of
ficials pass an order prohibiting
them exhibiting, on account of the
prevalence of influenza.
Secretary Perkins reiterated to
day the importance of all prospec-
tive exhibitors or concessions com
municating with him or George O.
Marshall at once, so that the space
may be reserved.

Helping Men Buy
Clothes
IkTO MAN would knowingly spend his money for poor
* clothes; but the determination to buy good clothes
isn’t all that’s necessary. You must know what you’re get
ting; whether the clothes are tailored right, whether the
fabric’s all-wool and the style is good.
And the only way to be certain on all these points is to go
to a merchant whose word and clothes you can depend
upon. That s where we come in. We don’t expect you
to know all-wool fabrics from part cotton, to know
whether the seams are silk sewn; whether the lining will
wear; even an expert will fall down on these points.
\ou don’t have to worry about any of these points when
you come here. We help you buy right by having only the
very best in stock—Hart Schaffner & Marx clothes, for
example.
That name is your best assurance that the materials are
all-wool and durable, that the garments are carefully
styled and tailored; that in brief you are buying good
clothes the kind you want. Satisfaction guaranteed.

The Terrible Pains in Back and
Sides. Cardui Gave Relief.
Marksville, La.—Mrs. Alice Johnson,
! of this place, writes: “For one year I
suffered with an awful misery in my back
and sides. My left side was hurting me
i ill the time. The misery was something
awful.
1 could not do anything, not even sleep
it night. It kept me awake most of the
night... I took different medicines, but
I nothing did me any good or relieved me
| until I took Cardui. ..
1 was not able to do any of my work
| lor one year and I got worse all the time,
: was confined to my bed off and on. I got
i so bad with my back that when 1 stooped
I down I was not able to straighten up
again ... 1 decided 1 would try Cardui
... By time 1 had taken the entire bottle
I was feeling pretty good and could
j straighten up and my pains were nearly
; ill gone.
I shall always praise Cardui. I con
i tinued taking it until I was strong and
; well.” If you suffer from pains due to
female complaints, Cardui may be just
what you need. Thousands of women
who once suffered in this way now praise
Cardui for their present good health.
