CONCORD.
One of the most enjoyable events
of the season was the birthday party
given by Miss Bertha Kate Lassiter at
her home last Thursday night. The
rooms were decorated with z’innias
and marigolds. Conversation was
the game and at about 9 o’clock a
salad course with tea was served and
later an iced course. The guests
present were Misses Susie Morrell,
Kate Johnston, Bertha Kidd, Vera
Darden, Mary Morrell, Tommie Kidd,
of Concord; Miss Minnie Irvin, of
Blairsville, and Misses Lettie and
Vera Crutchfield and Hattie Walters,
of Shiloh; Messrs. Charlie and Mor
gan Hagerson, Keith Dupree, Joe
Johnston, Uriah Morrell, Walter Dar
den, Floyd Lassiter, of Concord; Ivan
Irvin, of Blairsville, and Watson and
Jesse Wicker and Ben Rouse, of Cut-
Off, and Oza Beckwith and Johnnie
Walters, of Shiloh, and Corporal
Chas. L. Crutchfield, who has just re
turned from Germany.
