week to tike charge of the telephone
exchange there. During his stay
here Mr. Hart was in charge as man
ager of the Southern Bell Telephone
exchange.
Miss Helen Hayes entertained at
her home Monday night. A large
number were present, and all enjoy
ed themselves very much. Dellcioar
refreshments were served.
Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Pryor enter
tained Tuesday night at their home
several miles from Smithville, in
hc?nor of Miss Julia Pryor, who is
■spending the holidays at home.
Miss Neva Goodroe, of Denver,

Sylvester, has been visiting relatives

Wells Mill property near Sruithville,
and has moved here. Mr.

and will start an up-to-date milling
business at Wells Mill, He intends

McDonald will renew this, a siding
having been put in by the Central of
Georgia railroad for loading pur
poses.
