so weak and run down that I

DANCE AT ELKS
HALL LOVELY AFFAIR.
The dance given by the Elks of
Americus on New Year’s evening was
a lovely affair in all its details. The
ball room was decorated in bamboo
vines, a pretfy feature being the fes
tocns of southern smilax arranged
in garlands from the ceiling, hold
ing bright red and green Christmas
bells, seemingly chiming a glad wel
come and a happy New Year, to all.
Guttenberger's orchestra from Ma
con furnished the music, and many
new and lilting airs were played.
The charming costumes worn by the
dancers added a distinct lovliness to
the evening’s enjoyment. Among
the chaperones were Mr. and Mrs.
Lucius McClesky, and their guest,
Mrs. W. W. Norman, of Griffin; Ma
