3 SCOUTS GIVEN
RIDE IN CLOUDS
Record Program Vend

Flights at Camp
Three Americus Boy Scouts receiv
ed the thrills of their life yesterday
when they were each given a free
ride in the clouds at Souther Field.
The boys were Sanders Morg: n,
Claude Bond and David Broadhurst.
It was all a part of the Independ
ence Day celebration at the field. The
Boy Scouts, 4j> in number, called
upon by the camp officers to assist
in the handling of the crowd and
other activities in connection with
the celebration, and under the lead
ership of H. W. Moon, assistant Scout
master, they hiked to the Camp Sun
day afternoon in order to be on the
job bright and early Monday morn
ing, so that all preliminary prepara
tions in which *hey were to have a
hand might be made before the ar
rival of the first visiters. They
were given comfortable quarters in
one of the hangars and ate supper
and breakfast with the soldiers,
which was a most pleasing experience
for them.
During the hours of the enter
tainn ent the Scouts had charge of
the sale of programs, and it was for
winning top naces for selling the
largest number D.at the three boys
r.amed were taken up in the air as
passengers in airplanes.

During the flood at West Point
many pianos were suomerged for
days, causing the soundboards to
warp, the action to fall apart, ruin
ing the strings, hammers, felts and
ivories. These pianos had to be re
built, and it required a workman un
derstanding every detail of piano
construction and repair, not simply
a tuner and repairer, to do the job.
Mr. Edward Smerring, of Atlanta,
Ga., did the work and that h- suc
ceeded most admirably is attested by
his many patrons. Mr. Snurring is
with me for a few days, doing my
work, and should your piano need
attention, do not miss this opportu
nity to secure his services. Phone

Marksville, La.—Mrs. Alice Johnson,

Baby’s Food.
The high mortality of infants (one
out of three) is due very largely to
the fact that the baby cannot select
its own food, as does the adult, but
must take what is given it. Often the
food is inferior in quality, or even,
positively poisonius.
How can the mother tell whether
the baby’s food is right?
One way is to watch the actions.
If they .are regular and natural and
the baby is gaining in weight, the
food is all right. Constipation and
diarrhoea both indicate indigestion
and should have immediate atten
tion.
To correct indigestion and regu
late the stomach and bowels the baby
specialists have perfected a gentle
laxative and regulator called “Baby
Ease” laxative, which the mother
may obtain, with full directions, at
any drug store. “Baby Ease” is an
invaluable aid to the baby’s health,
and no mother should be without it
for emergencies.
Do not use the strong and irritat
ing laxatives such as are commonly
used, nor anything containing opiates
or powerful drugs. They irritate the
delicate organs and lead to chronic
indigestion and constipation, “Baby
Ease” laxative* is a corrective and
regulator as well as a gentle laxa
tive, and will promptly and perma
nently correct indigestion, colic,
diarrhoea and constipation. The
mother should then look carefully
to the purity, freshness and whole
someness of the baby’s food, the
cleanliness of the bottles, etc., and
should consult the physician if the
child does not steadily gain in weight.
