PLAINS, Feb. 17. The first
February meeting of the Plains Lit

Gardner. Nearly every member was
present and the meeting was a very
interesting one. After business, an
interesting program was carried out,
the subject being “Woodrow Wil
son.” The many sides of the presi
dent’s character were discussed as
well as his views on the topics of the
day. Plains Literary club took thisj
opportunity to show their love and I
loyalty to the great president. The j
ladies in charge of the program were
Mrs. W. L. Thomas, chairman; Mrs.
A. G. Kendrick, Mrs. Mamie Brad
ley,Mrs. J. C. McGill, Mrs. Frank
Matthews.
Little Miss Rosa Lee Phillips gave
a charming little party for her little
friends Valentine day. Rosa Lee,
herself, came once as a little Valen-j

she has been ever since, one of thej
brightest and happiest of little girls.!
The little guests at the party were |
entertained with all kinds of merry j
games by Rosa Lee’s mother and herj
teacher, Miss Scythia Langford. Then
they were carried into the beautiful-;
ly decorated dining room, there to
find a wonderful snowy birthday ■
cake, burning seven candles. Red j
and white hearts were everywhere j
and red and white japonicas delight- *
ed the flower loving little children, j
Big red cherries on cream also car
ried out the pretty color scheme. A
shower of gifts was given to Rosa
Lee, for which she showed her ap
preciation by smiles. All the little
guests had a good time and all were
proud of their lovely valentines. They
told Rosa Lee so, and her mother,
and then went running home to tell
it all over again to their homefolks. j
Those present were Cecelia Banks

writes Mrs. Ellen Harris.
Thousands of people, like this dear
lady, gratefully testify about Eatonic,
which does its wonders by taking up
and carrying out the excess acidity
and gases which bring on indigestion,
heartburn, bloating, belching and
food repeating. Acid stomach also
causes about seventy other non-organ
