Neal Truitt, 5-year-old son of Mr

Williams, and A. L. Campbell, of near
Greensboro, have been arrested for
the murder of W:ll Williams, hus
band of Mrs. Williams. M> - . Williams
died a few days ago under suspicions
circumstances, and after an exami
nation by Dr. E. F. Everhart, of
tlanta. it was found that he died of
strychnine poisoning.
Sam Story was found., guilty of
manslaughter in court at Thomso ,
and sentenced to serve sixteen years
He killed T. Sol Jones Jan. 30.
NEW ERA.
The entire community was sad
dened by the death of Mrs. Mary
Glisson Tuesday, March 1. Mrs.;
Glisson was one of the oldest resi
dents of this community, she was 93
years old February 14. She is sur
vived by two daughters, Mrs. Lou
Roach and Mrs. Lula Griffin; one
sen, George Glisson; seventeen grand
children, twelve great-grandchildren
and five great great-grandchildren
and a host of friends who sympa
ihize with the family in their bereave
ment. The funeral was conducted
from Salem Methodist Church by
Rev. Marvin Vincent. Interment in
the church cemetery. The pallbear
ers were: B. S. Parker, Steve Roach.
