Here is a glimpse of what the flood did to the business district of Pu eblo. Col. This photograph taken in the heart of the business section, dur
ing the flood, shows buildings wrecked, water sweeping through the stree ts and huge piles of wreckage. In most streets the water reached a depth
of i feet and in some of the lower streets was 18 feet deep, '[’he arro w shows the high water mark.

This airplane photograph of Pueblo, Col., taken wh#n the flood wa at its worst, show- the junction of the Arkansas and Fountain ri,vers.
Normally, these streams are little more than creeks, but here the angry w aters formed a rushing current a mile wide. In the left foeground is the
wing’of the plane from which the picture was taken, ('enter, the river bridge, swept from its foundations Right the railroad yards. Note the long
line of cars, overturned by the water. Others are being carried down str earn. Lower right-hand corner, a bouse and several box cars ate floating
down the river. The streets visible in the picture are white steaks of foa ming water.

I ellows will hold their first annual picnic and barbecue at
Myrtle Springs. Every member and family are cordially ia
vited, and each family is requested to bring a small basket qf
eats with them. Each member is requested to notify one of
