REVIVAL RECALLS
SERIES LONG AGO
Dr. Minor I o Preach At
Antioch After 27
Years
"Dr. Carl W. Minor, pa tor of the
First Baptist church here, will deliv
er a series of <‘rmons in Antioch
church near Americus, where 27
years ago, when he was a young stu
dent at Mercer working his way
through college to become a min
ister, he was invited to preach in a
revival service. This series will be
gin shortly.
The church at Antioch then had
been closed for one year, and during
thpt time had been without a pastor,
a service, a Sunday school, or organ
ized religious influence. A number
of the good people of the communi
ty; healing of the young mini tvi'
earnestness, requested his presence
among them in the hope that a gen
uine revival would result.
After holding the series of serv
ices for five days, IS persons became
converted and united with the church.'
From the revival the interest was
awakened among the members, old
and new, and the new and better
Antioch rose, until today it has a
membership of 75. with services held
in the church monthly with Sunday
school each Sunday morning and
mid week prayer services as a supple
merit.
The church in which Dr. Minor
preached was burned several year
ajjb, and in its stead a new and mod
eiTi building has been ere-ted a a
monument to the untiring efforts of
a'■ united religious people who are
proud of their achievements.
Rev. J. H. Wyatt, pastor of the
church at Antioch, will assist Dr.
Minor in the services. A number of
Apiericus people who (retain their
membership there will attend the
services.

Folks.” There is a sense in which
there are no single-faced folks; he
would be a man of iron who turns
to the woman he loves the same face
he shows tp his business competitors.
No doubt the face of Jesus was dif
ferent when he drove the money
changers from the Temple and when
he held out merciful hands to bless '
little children. In this sense the best i
people are two-faced, and ought to |
glory in it. It is needless to say, this:
is not the kind to be discussed in |
the talk Sunday night.

A Volt of Electricity
is Shot Through, Killing the Germs
i
Our Flours come to you as pure as the morning dew.
Every germ that might pass through is instantly killed in
the milling, for through every ounce of flour high-voltage
electricity is shot. Not content with preserving all of the
; nutritive values we DES 1 ROY all possibility of impurity.
I “ORIENT” PLAIN FLOUR has no superior in America. For a generation
we have perfected and selected until we produced the wonderful flour. Out
of the thousands of barrels milled, only a very small proportion grades high
enough to lit this label. It maintains that delicious NUTTY flavor of the
wheat. No human hand touches it at any time. Pure, sanitary and whole
some. “ORIENT” is the superlative in flour.
“MOTHER'S” SELF RISING FLOUR, the companion brand to ‘‘ORIENT,’’
contains only the purest and highest grade ingredients. For cakes, rolls, bread
; or pastries, these two brands are pleasing hundreds of Good Cooks in this
community. ,
Ask your grocer for “Orient” and “Mother’s, ’’ compare it carefully; note
the better taste, the better results, and remember that our flours are SAFE and
E wholesome.
