ANSWERS NORRIS
Denies She Or Bosticks And Ful
lers Are Holy Rollers—Re
plies in Detail
That everything said by M. H. Norris,
the lawyer-psychic from LaGrange
against whom she took out a peace
warrant this week, was false, and
that she and the Bosticks, with whom
she is making her home, are not
Holy Rollers, as he asserted, but
members of the Methodist church,
was’ the statement of Mrs. Mary J,
Fowfer, who called at the Times-Re-
COrdeP Jtoday.to give the lie to his as*
•mtions’ \in their controversy. She
as acccM.’panied by Mr. and Mrs.
J. L. Bostick, who said their church
membership is in Atlanta, from which
city they h ave never moved their
letters, and* Mrs. Fowler sai4 het
Methodist eo\ meet ion is in LaGrange, i
Mr. and Mrs,\C. F. Fuller, mentioned
as Holy Rollers, are Missionary Bap
tists, she said..
“We belong; to no religious fanatic
sect,’ she said*
Taking up statements made by
Norris in an in terview published yes
terday, Mrs. Fowler stated that he
was the most ‘‘low down” and ter
rible man she had ever known, and
that she fled from LaGrange ten
months ago to>. Americus to escape
him because she feared him and he
would not let her alone. She said
she went voluntarily to the Bosticks
here, whom she had known there. She
said her husbaiMl had died from acute
indigestion, beiifg stricken in his pho
tograph gallery at LaGrange, with
no one about, and that there was no
praying around him when he died.
She said he had the attention of two
physicians. Discussing the charges
that Frank Longley carried away pa
pers from the bank vault belonging
to Norris and Mrs. Fowler jointly fol
recovery of which Norris is now su
ing there, she said Mr. Longley was
her present attorney, the son of
Judge Longley, of LaGrange, whom
she employed when she dismissed
Norris last January, and that the
papers were removed by her own
hands. As to the taking of her
personal belongings by Mrs. Sherrer
whom also Norris is suing, she said
she instructed Mrs. Sherrer to take
the belongings and dispose of them
for her so that she could thus outwit
Norris. She declared that instead
of Norris holding a claim of $l,lOO
against her, she has a claim against
his farm for a considerable sum, and
that he is putting up this fight to
protect his own interests.
“We deny having any influence
over Mrs. Fowler,” said Mr. Bostick,
speaking for himself and wife, as
with us of her own free will
auu-Jkcord. We are not cheats. We
did not influence Mrs.' Fowler to
deed her property to us. So far as
we are concerned, we are willing for
Norris to talk with her if she wants
to talk with him, or anyone else she
wants to talk with, but she says she
will not see him, nor talk with nun,
«md as long as she is living with us
ve will protect her.”
“Mrs. Fowler was a personal
friend of ours. Neither of jjs were
