DR. FARRINGTON
CLOSES TONIGHT
Largest Crowd Since Meetings
Opened Present Thinpday
Night
(< nt nj. 1.)
Dr.F. H. FaningGm will preach his ;
closing rmoit this evening in the
C-ntral Baptist revival and leave fm
hi home in AJyultiie tomorrow.
The Inrgmt crowd of the week was j
present lasi evening and heard Hr. j
Farrington speak iroin Luke 12:16- 1
21, “The Man God Called a Fool." |
There were five reasons shown why
God called the man a fool. First, [
he lived a four-footed animal, with
no higher motive. Second, he left
his Maker out. By creation he and
ail he had belonged to God, yet he
did not even think of Him who is the
giver of ill good and perfect gifts.
Os all people in the world, Dr. Far
rington stated, it looks like a farmer
would not leave God out. Third, "He i
left his neighbor out.” No man liv- -
eth unto himself. From this kind of
giound comes the anarchist, atheist. I
infidel, etc. Nothing but God can |
satisfy the soul of man. I‘ifth, “He I
thought his soul his own.’ “Thou 1
fool, this night thy soul shall be re- <
quired of thee; then whose shall those i
things be, which thou hast provided? i
So is he that layeth up treasure for ■
himself and is not such toward God.
Two boys came forward at. the .
close of the discussion and acknowl
edged Christ as Saviour and were re
ceived by the church for baptism.
'Die young people have been the
leading factors in lhe meeting and
the church is much pleased with their
responses for salvation and beauti
ful service rendered.
There were 135 Bible readers and
1,177 chapters read yesterday. The
largest number of chapters read by
one person was 375. Mr. Fry stated
that in all of his meetings that num
her exceeded any ever reported and
was much gratified over the result
of the contest which he began just
one week ago. The number reported I
to date are 6.708 chapters in the j
Bible read in one week.
Dr. Farrington will speak at 4:00
p. m. on “Night,” at 7:45 p. ni. on
“The Two Judgments.” Mr. Fry
will sing at both hours for his last
time as he leaves for Donaldsonville,
Ga., to begin in another campaign
Sunday with Itev. Claud Bridges.

MANY WOMEN OF
ALBANY REGISTERING
I ALBANY, April 28— Many Dough- ;
'city county women are registering;
for state primary in September and |
the congressional election in Novem- i
ber. ’lhe registration books of the
state close May 7, and a last-minute
rush is expected next week at the
tax collector's office. A number of
women delayed registering, thinking
I that registration for the city election
last fall qualified them for state and
