honor guests at a delightful barbecue
given by Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Moon
Ct their suburban home Thursday.
The guest's went out in the morn
ing and played bridge, setback and
42 on tables placed on the spacious
lawn beneath the large oak trees. At
noon a typical barbecue dinner was
served the guests on the lawn.

PARTY FOR VISITORS.
Mrs. F. H. Hines, Jr., was hostess
at her home in Leslie Thursday eve
ning honoring her sisters, Misses
Ethel and Mary Barrow, of near
Americus.
Japanese sunflowers, zinnias and
evergreens were combined in a pret
ty floral motif on the porch and
lawn, where the hostess received her
guests.
Punch was served throughout the
evening by Misses Frances Deriso
and Mary Barrow.
Various games were played and at
a late hour dainty refreshments

A recent ’delightful social event
war the dinner given at the Tea Room
by the officers of the First Methodist
Sundry school for the members of
the Sunday school orchestra.
The Tea Rpom was attractively
decorated for the occasi; n and a
four-course dinner was served, after
which the guests went to the Play
ground, enjoying a swim in the pool
there.
The officers of the school present
were Wible Marshall, H. E. Allen,
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Heys, Mr. and
Mrs. Will Dupree, Rev. and Mrs. Guy
ton Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene
Bailey, Mrs. Etta May Nix, Lorin
Smith and Marvin Giddings. The
members of the orchestra were Miss
Louise Marshall, Miss Rossie An
drews, Misses Pauline and Marie Bell,
Henry Everett, Walton Stewart, Sam
Heys, Jr., Allen McNeil, Hoyt Mur
hpy, Griffin Walker and Joe Poole.

Thursday after a delightful visit of
three weeks with Mrs. Elmer Harris.
